I am a huge fan of Lee Stafford and his range of affordable, yet oh so glamorous, hair and beauty accessories. One of the main things I love about this mirror is the fact that the illumination comes from batteries. This makes the mirror portable, both in terms of moving it around your house, and for traveling. The mirror takes 3 AA batteries which can be picked up cheaply from Poundland, and these are easy to put in at the bottom of the mirror – no screwdriver required.
The mirror itself is very pretty. It is a glorious shade of hot pink, with the mirror and fitting itself being chrome, the base a similar coloured plastic. There are to separate mirrors with 360degree rotation, so you have normal (1x) magnification which is ideal for putting on make up, whilst the (3x) magnification is perfect for plucking brows, examining skin in more detail, even checking out those wrinkles and new grey hairs. (shudders!)
The illumination is gentle and soft rather than garish and overly bright, think film star mirrors surrounded by lights. Oh I like that you don’t have to plug it in! I once bought a mirror like this for my mum but we didn’t realise it had to be plugged in (becasue who has a plug socket in their bathroom?!) so she has never actually used it. Great giveaway
