Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen is a bit of a legend when it comes to homes and interiors, so it is very exciting news that he has recently launched a new collection entitled The Legacy Collection. This collection is a collaboration between the designers brand new label ‘House Llewelyn-Bowen’ and fabric experts Terrys Fabrics and is just perfect for those who like to give their rooms a new look as we enter into cosy season.

The Legacy Collection

The Legacy collection is a huge one, which clearly has something for every taste and style. The collection features 79 stunning pieces, which incorporates fabrics, curtains & blinds. There are 11 hand-drawn prints and 4 woven designs, all recoloured and rescaled for today’s homes. I love that this is almost a return to the exquisite fabrics that William Morris made so covetable during the Victorian era.

This Fine Art Approach sets LLBs glorious patterns very much apart since every line tells a story in these fabulously authored fabrics. Exploring Aesthetic themes that conjure up some of the great tastemakers in British Design history, from William Morris to Augustus Pugin, Aubrey Beardsley to Biba the LLB style has a timeless Vibrance that continues to make House Llewelyn-Bowen so extraordinarily influential.

What is the collection like?

Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen has always been known for his flamboyant style, his use of colour and opulence in his designs. This is clearly apparent in this collection, which is stunning in its vibrancy and its beauty. This makes each individual design look very opulent, and expensive, which makes the reasonable price point so much more remarkable.

I love the colours and prints in this collection. The use of beautiful large flower and bird prints in particular, are stunning and just so eye-catching. I also love the fact that not every colour and shade used is bright, there are also some gorgeous deep blues and greens for those who love their textiles to be deep in colour.
