Perfect Pieces for a working wardrobe
Remember the days when a smart working wardrobe meant a really bad suit, whether you were male or female? Thank goodness those days are over. Many of us need to have smart pieces in our wardrobe, whether, like me, you split work between home and numerous business venues, or whether holding down full or part-time jobs in any environment where first impressions count. Your working wardrobe says a lot about you, so the best wardrobe is almost a capsule one, made up of pieces that can be mixed and matched to make a range of different looks. You can pick up inexpensive pieces from George at Asda that can be…

Project D for Simply Be – Amazing First Collection
One of the most exciting collaborations between a designer label and a High Street name has just hit the shelves. Simply Be has teamed up with the one and only Project D to produce a fabulous designer range that doesn’t stop at a size 16, and the collection is just fabulous. Project D, the label founded by the super Stylish Tabitha Somerset Webb (of Tabitha bags) and the one and only Dannii Minogue (the X Factor legend who I miss more and more each year as I cringe through another Tulisa show), is a celebrity favourite. Project D dresses have graced the likes of Tess Daly, Sarah Harding and Pippa…

Harvey Nichols Birmingham S/S Fashion Show 2013 – It’s coming!
The Harvey Nichols Birmingham Spring fashion show is just around the corner, and has proved such a success that this season it will be bigger and better than ever before. With this in mind, this Spring’s show will be taking place in the Old Post Office in The Mailbox on Thursday March 21st, the smart industrial space providing a perfect catwalk for Harvey Nichols Ultra-modern designers and ranges. The Harvey Nichols fashion show always has the most fashionable front-row in…

Evans – My favourite pieces perfect for Spring
Spring is (hopefully) just around the corner, so I am going to start a virtual trip around some of my favourite stores, picking out my most lusted after pieces on the way. My first stop is Evans. The new Clements Ribeiro collection isn’t in store just yet, but Evans has launched two new collections recently, Scarlett and Jo (which I love and has already made appearances on this blog) and this week it launched Silk Shore, a collection of pretty casual pieces in denim blue and coral. In addition to this, the regular collection has some gorgeous pieces, one of my faves being the super cute floral denim pencil skirt.…

The Oscars – My top 10 Dresses
So it’s all over, the 2013 Oscars was one of the most anticipated ceremonies in recent years, with some real vintage films and performances to savour. In terms of the dresses, I don’t personally think it was a vintage year, most stars looked great, but safe in their choices, and there were so many strapless dresses that I was overjoyed when the long-sleeved vision of Jennifer Hudson walked onto the red carpet. But there were still some beautiful looks to enjoy, and so I have chosen my favourite 10, that I will announce, X Factor style, in no particular order. Naomi Watts in Armani Prive Naomi Watts looked sublime in…
