Charity Shop And Thrifted Finds January. Pt 2
Welcome to part two of my Charity shop and thrifted finds post for January. This one is dedicated to book finds and shoes and accessories. (Check out Part 1 here.)
I have to be honest and say I can’t pass a charity shop that has a book section, and if the shop happens to be one dedicated to books (Oxfam and St Giles Hospice have dedicated bookshops) then that is even better. I am currently building up my collection of Agatha Christie books by trying to find all the different editions, and both charity shops, and Vinted have been invaluable as I continue my search. One of the reasons for this is that books found in charity shops are often very affordable – the large red Agatha hardback below was £1 from Cancer Research, Walsall, but I was actually told I could have two books for that price, which is, quite frankly, ridiculous.
Charity shops often have very good quality hardbacks and paperbacks, but lately I am also finding lots of vintage books that you can pick up for a song, which is perfect if you are trying to collect authors from the past.

Shoes, Bags and Accessories
I always find bargains when it comes to accessories. In the run up to Christmas you could find some incredible glittery heels and statement shoes that could elevate any Christmas party outfit, and now I am finding lots of good quality leather boots that are perfect for the current cold spell.
Warm clothing items are also worth a look. I love the vintage cloche style green hat that I saw in a charity shop in Devon, it is just so chic. There are also lots of scarves to jazz up an old coat, and even some new products like the cute Totes slipper socks that were still boxed, making them a perfect treat for your feet.
Make sure you check out the labels. The PS Paul Smith shoes were just £10 (unfortunately, not my size), whilst I did buy the pink LK Bennett flats, that still had the original box, and were just £3.50 from a charity shop in Wales.
