Serendipity by Elie Beaumont

For my latest Elie Beaumont London bag review, I have something a little bit different. Each month I take a look at the current must haves from the handbag and accessories brand, and usually introduce a leather bag. This could be messenger style, hobo style, or even a tote. But this month, Elie Beaumont have introduced a brand new collection that is completely removed from this comfort zone.

Serendipity by Elie Beaumont takes a trend that I have been seeing a lot in fashion magazines and from bag designers. This is the quilted tote bag. With Summer on the way we are all thinking of bags that would be perfect for the beach, or for travel, or to use when we are sightseeing. Our bag needs change for this season. We want something that can carry all our usual essentials, but maybe something more – a bottle of water, suncream, a sunhat for instance. This means we look towards bigger bags.

These bags, however, need to be lightweight. We don’t want straps and handles that cut into our bare shoulders. We also don’t want bags that weigh a ton before you’ve even begun to fill them. Plus, it’s Summer, so we want something that is bright and colourful and a little bit fun. The Serendipity by Elie Beaumont collection ticks all those boxes, and more.

Design Details

The Serendipity by Elie Beaumont collection totes are made from luxury 100% Natural cotton with a quilted design. They are designed in the UK and handmade in small batches in Jaipur,India, using traditional Block Printing. The designs are bright and vibrant, and the bags are also washable, reversible and foldable. This makes them a real versatile Summer choice. My print of choice is the glorious Tibetan Tiger design which is just so much fun.

Versatile

I have been using my tote non stop recently, as it is so useful for so many occasions. I used it for a day at the beach, where it was big enough to carry lots of my essentials, and also for shopping day where I loved how lightweight it was, particularly when I had other, heavy shopping to carry. It matches lots of outfits, whether you are colour matching or colour clashing, and the fact that it is reversible means that you get two bags for the price of one. Like all Elie Beaumont bags, the quality is just wonderful, and I know I will be using this bag over and over this Summer.
