End of the Month Shoe Lust
Tomorrow will be the 1st of May, so for many of you, today is the last day of the month, and that means payday, and the time for a special treat! This is probably why, after browsing on shoe websites for a couple of hours, I felt a real compulsion to theoretically fill my virtual basket with the sort of shoes that I would buy if money was no object. Shoes are a bit of an addiction for me. I have more pairs than I need, many of them that never get worn, being too small, too big, too uncomfortable, too tight or too high. But I would never part…

New Look has spring dresses all sewn up
The lastest collection of dresses from New Look shows how the High Street brand is going from strength to strength. From flowing maxi styles, to cute TOWIE-esque skater dresses, New Look proves that this season, any length is allowed. But it is the midi dresses that really catch the eye. For so long this was a length that only the tallest and slimmest of ladies tackled, with a view that on anyone else, the midi was a frumpy option. Reviewed – Poppy Print Dress from Scarlett and Jo
I’ve been a fan of Scarlett and Jo ever since I saw that gorgeous picture of some gorgeous plus size bloggers wearing the Side panel dress. My thoughts were immediately – ‘here is a company who understands that curvier ladies want something to enhance their figures rather than hide them.’ I then got the chance to meet the lovely ladies at the Plus Size Fashion Weekend, and was again really impressed by the brand ethos and the stylish pieces they were producing. So when I was asked if I would like to review the Poppy Print dress, it really wasn’t an difficult decision. If you can shout YES over an…

Style on the Small Screen featuring Carrie Bradshaw, Mad Men and Hayley Atwell
I must admit to being a bit of a telly addict. (I did consider naming this post Telly addicted, but then I couldn’t get thoughts of Noel Edmonds and his interesting jumpers out of my mind, so I thought better about it.) I watch all sorts of programmes, from Eastenders to Scott and Bailey, from Broadchurch to The Village, and I also love quizzes and documentaries too. But the programmes that will always catch my eye will always have an element of style to them. From the sumptuous early shopping experiences of ‘Mr Selfridge’ and ‘The Paradise’, to the stunning Arena documentary series about Norman Parkinson that was shown on…

The Baby Shower
On Friday night I went to my very first baby shower. My sister is due to have her first baby in 4 weeks time, and, as a huge fan of Sex in the City, was bound to have a girlie get together before her new little girl joins the family. The Baby Shower are an American idea that is starting to take off in the UK. This particular shower involved lots of pink fizz, very pretty cupcakes as the centre piece for a yummy buffet, girls night in music from Kylie, and lots of giggles and chatter. There were gifts for the new baby and a chance to have a…
