End of the Month Shoe Lust

Tomorrow will be the 1st of May, so for many of you, today is the last day of the month, and that means payday, and the time for a special treat! This is probably why, after browsing on shoe websites for a couple of hours, I felt a real compulsion to theoretically fill my virtual basket with the sort of shoes that I would buy if money was no object.

Shoes are a bit of an addiction for me. I have more pairs than I need, many of them that never get worn, being too small, too big, too uncomfortable, too tight or too high. But I would never part with them, still reveling in their beauty, thinking one day, maybe, they will actually leave the house on my feet. Shoes can be more than something you wear – they can be a work of art that just makes you happy.(Shallow – yes, but definitely true.)

So these shoes that I have selected today are a little impractical, but most definitely beautiful and almost in the category of works of art. There are the scented gorgeousness of the Vivienne Westwood Melissa’s and the sexy streamlined kitten heeled, metallic toed See by Chloe designs. There are super high heels from Guess in a snake print that would just compliment every summer outfit in Studio 54 style, and then there is the Parisian chic of the monochrome Ava sandals from Sonia Rykiel.
