Land Ahoy! Push PR’s seaside inspired Press day
Last week was the start of a mammoth round of Spring/Summer Press days. Yes, whilst the weather is turning decidedly nasty, fashion is looking towards Spring/Summer 2013 and the promise of sunny skies and brighter days. First up on my very extensive list was Push PR, who were clearly enjoying getting into that Summer holiday mode with their showroom resembling a vintage style seaside town. Life buoys festooned the room, as did saucy cutouts to pose for those seaside snaps, whilst fishing nets were the perfect way to display the gorgeous jewellery of Alice Menter and Eastern Mystic. Pippa Middleton nails this season’s berry shades
It was a very busy week for Pippa Middleton last week. On the promotion trail for her Party Planning book, ‘Celebrate’, on one day alone Pippa wore no less than four great looks, my favourite being the great plum dress from Roksanda Illincic. Pippa really nails this season’s berry shades in this dress, with its ladylike shape, great drape style neckline and sophisticated knee-length skirt. Berry shades, plums, purples, maroons and burgundies, are always a great choice for Autumn. Rich and warm, they flatter most hair shades and skintones, and just look great with boots and layers. Ugg Australia launches a new store in Birmingham
A few weeks ago I was invited to take a look around a rather special new store. Ugg Australia was just about to launch a new, stand alone store in Birmingham, and I was offered the opportunity to take a little look around before the official opening. X Factor Fash Off Week 4 – Happy Halloween.
Last weeks X Factor is destined to be remembered for Cigarettes and Alcohol rather than any of the performances on the night. Gary Barlow’s shockingly rude comment about Tulisa’s fagash breath seemed out of the character for a man usually renowned as a gentleman, and left the other judges in a state of shock. (Louis Walsh’s face was an absolute picture). The comment certainly overshadowed the fashion on display, which predictably had a dark feel to keep in with the Halloween theme. Halloween charms from Thomas Sabo
Halloween is almost upon us, and I have found the cutest charms and bracelets that would just about ‘charm’ everyone. The gorgeous Halloween inspired pieces from Thomas Sabo are just wonderful, featuring cute lucky black cats and pumpkins, with silver owls and bats to complete the spooky look. And although these pieces do take their inspiration from the All Hallows Eve, they would frankly be a perfect additional for any charm bracelet, making them a great gift for Christmas and birthdays too.
