Land Ahoy! Push PR’s seaside inspired Press day

Last week was the start of a mammoth round of Spring/Summer Press days. Yes, whilst the weather is turning decidedly nasty, fashion is looking towards Spring/Summer 2013 and the promise of sunny skies and brighter days. First up on my very extensive list was Push PR, who were clearly enjoying getting into that Summer holiday mode with their showroom resembling a vintage style seaside town. Life buoys festooned the room, as did saucy cutouts to pose for those seaside snaps, whilst fishing nets were the perfect way to display the gorgeous jewellery of Alice Menter and Eastern Mystic.

There were so many fab brands on display. Nelly’s formidable shoe collection just gets better and better, with gorgeous heels to die for, whilst they also showcased a great range of Chanel style jackets and statement costume jewellery. Tara Starlet’s vintage inspired pieces evoked images from Betty Grable to Marilyn Monroe by way of Bettie Page. There were some great jersey wear pieces from Hot Squash, whilst Eileen Fisher shows why she is such a phenomenon for women who want smart, casual luxury.

And then there are the brands that always make me gasp with a mixture of love and lust. 18 and East are continuing our fascination with The Great Gatsby, but now adding ice cream sorbet shades that are just mouth-watering. Zesty yellow and mint green chiffon embellished with bugle beads are just so perfectly pretty for Spring/Summer and were definitely amongst my favourite pieces seen that day.

Loving this piece.

Tusting is another glorious brand, a great traditional British company who produce glorious bags of the softest leather. The latest collection is also ultra modern, with great colour pop shades and an array of different shapes. I loved the mustard and brown satchel that would look great with jeans or used formally for work.

The Push PR press day was a whole lot of fun and great fashion. The icing on the cake was the chance to create your own Chamilia bracelet, choosing your own beads. I absolutely adore the bracelet I made, and haven’t yet taken it off.

With thanks to Push Pr for the fab event.

A bit of fun
