Land Ahoy! Push PR’s seaside inspired Press day
Last week was the start of a mammoth round of Spring/Summer Press days. Yes, whilst the weather is turning decidedly nasty, fashion is looking towards Spring/Summer 2013 and the promise of sunny skies and brighter days. First up on my very extensive list was Push PR, who were clearly enjoying getting into that Summer holiday mode with their showroom resembling a vintage style seaside town. Life buoys festooned the room, as did saucy cutouts to pose for those seaside snaps, whilst fishing nets were the perfect way to display the gorgeous jewellery of Alice Menter and Eastern Mystic. Gaultier’s Amy Winehouse tribute
It has upset Mitch Winehouse, but I think that Jean Paul Gaultier’s couture collection for Spring 2012 is a fitting fashion tribute to Amy. Full of models sporting Amy beehives and dressed in clothes that echoed her inimitable style, this is a collection that inspired by and celebrating Amy at her gorgeous peak, sassy, sexy and glamorous. “I think Amy Winehouse was truly a fashion icon,” Gaultier says of the troubled star, who was found dead in July aged just 27.
