Reviewed: Elie Beaumont Crossbody Biscuit With Peacock Strap

The best sort of bag that you can buy is one that is versatile, and this is especially true as we approach holiday season. Sure, it would be great to be able to pack a separate bag to match every outfit for your holiday, but unless you have an unlimited baggage allowance that is not going to happen. Therefore, choosing a bag that can take you from day to night, with just a change of the strap, may be the best idea around.

Elie Beaumont Crossbody Bag

Elie Beaumont has the most wonderful range of bags around this Summer. My latest favourite is the Elie Beaumont Crossbody bag in the biscuit shade, with the addition of a Peacock print strap. The bag itself already comes with a matching strap. This is a beautiful, Italian made leather bag which is strangely deceptive when it comes to size. The cute boxy shape is compact and neat, but this is a bag that can easily carry your purse, mobile phone, tissues, mirror, lippie and your sunglasses, and still have room for more.

Like all Elie Beaumont leather bags it is security conscious. It has a zip fastening which I love for the security of it, and inside the bag there is an extra zip pocket that is perfect for your bus or train pass or Oyster card, and also a cloth, slightly large internal pocket.

Versatility

The main thing I love about this bag is the versatility. The bag comes with a matching leather thin shoulder strap that is adjustable. This is great if you like the uniform look. But the strap is removable, and so the bag could be used clutch style as a slightly boxy clutch for an ultra modern, minimalist look.

The thicker, peacock strap is also adjustable, so you can wear this on your shoulder, or cross body. This strap gives the bag a more daytime look, like a retro camera style bag. The adjustment of the strap means that you could even wear this tucked under the arm, almost Carrie Bradshaw baguette style.

Details

As well as the ability to change the strap, the bag also has a very cute detachable tassel bag charm. This looks great and elevates the general style of the bag very easily. You could easily add additional bag charms in the same way, or could even invest in tassels of multiple colours in order to change the look of the bag, or to match with different outfits.
