    Marilyn Monroe 100

    You may have noticed a slow of documentaries and film showings dedicated to the iconic Marilyn Monroe over the past week. There was Marilyn and the Mob on Channel 4, a four part documentary on BBC Four, showings of Some Like it Hot and My Week with Marilyn along with documentaries about those two films. The reason for this slew of Monroe screenings is that, today, the forever young movie goddess would’ve been 100.   It is hard to think of an old Marilyn, but she was actually born in the same year as Queen Elizabeth ll, who she famously met in 1956.
