Suki Waterhouse 1960s inspiration at my-wardrobe
One of the hottest new style icons that have emerged this year is über model Suki Waterhouse. The gorgeous blonde is the epitome of the 1960s ‘dollybird,’ with her thick blonde bangs, dark eyebrows and her pale pink lips. Even her name has a 60s feel, a hybrid of Suki Poitier, a tragic 60s model girlfriend of Brian Jones, and Keith Waterhouse, 1960s playwright extraordinaire. Suki has a wardrobe to match her swinging sixties name, favouring pastel mini skirts and dresses, white kid boots and tights, belted trenchcoats a la Catherine Deneuve and pink, lots of pink. This just makes her the perfect icon for this season, with my-wardrobe just…

Disney on Ice – Let’s Party!
Wednesday saw the premiere night for the latest Disney on Ice Show ‘Let’s Party’, at the Birmingham LG Arena. With my Mickey Mouse crazy son and gorgeous niece in tow, we headed out to the LG Arena to catch the show, and enjoy a very special VIP meeting with the great man and his lovely lady. The show was a lively mixture of songs and ice dance illustrating all the special celebrations that take place throughout the year, from birthdays, Valentine’s day, holidays and Halloween, right up…

Searching for the Perfect Spring Dress
For a few days at the end of last week, and the beginning of this, I got that Spring feeling. The sun was shining and the sky was blue. I also started thinking about my wardrobe too, and in particular,…

Duchess Kate rocks a wrap dress
The Duchess of Cambridge made a welcome return yesterday, as the latest personal criticism, this time from Hilary Mantel and Vivienne Westwood continued to make news. Booker prize winner Mantel made a scathing attack on the Duchess, who she basically described as dead behind the eyes, whilst Vivienne Westwood contradicted the rest of the fashion press by saying that Kate did not recycle her wardrobe enough. Poor Kate remained silent in the face of both attacks, and somehow seemed all the classier for this. Kate looked tanned and healthy for the engagement, a visit to Hope House, in London. She was wearing an ultra flattering wrap dress from Max Mara…
