Party Dress season is here!
Well it’s the first of November and the party season is now truly here. I’ve just received my invite to my first Christmas party and it was for next week – a keen reminder that these days the parties and celebrations start earlier and earlier. The best thing about the festivities is that you finally get the chance to wear a truly showstopping dress, something that makes you feel ultra glamorous – like a Hollywood movie star. Some of the most gorgeous dresses I’ve seen this year come from Phase Eight. As well as the glorious Collection 8, there are a wide range of other dresses that will suit every Christmas celebration – from candlelight meals to Christmas concerts, to all those dazzling parties. Furthermore, these dresses will be suitable for other occasions well into the new year.
Some of my favourites
This beautiful black dress would be perfect for the Duchess of Cambridge during the festive season – Prince’s trust concert maybe?
I just love the 1970s Studio 54 vibe of this jumpsuit – makes me think of Penelope Ann Miller in Carlito’s Way. Great if dresses are just not your thing.
This sparkly number is a real 1960s Dolly girl like. Imagine Sharon Stone in Casino in this dress – so glam and very sexy.
This dress just makes me think of Audrey Hepburn munching a Danish outside Tiffany’s. The perfect black cocktail dress – just beautiful.
The Pollyanna ribbon dress is just so romantic. A 1950s prom dress given a modern update, and in a gorgeous shade of midnight blue.
The perfect Herve Leger style that will take you easily from day to evening – the office party anyone?
Another prom style dress, but in this chocolate-brown shade this becomes a more sophisticated option. Definitely more goddess than ingenue. I alsolove brown as an alternative to classic black.
This dress is so Mad Men it should be called ‘Joan’. Made for enhancing, or creating curves – this is simply beautiful.
My absolute favourite – effortless and needing no further adornment. The glamour of the lace is perfect for the Festive season, but will also take you right up to Valentine’s day. Loving the ultra feminine shape and Hollywood style glamour – Grace Kelly in dress form.
