Art Deco Styling With Elie Beaumont

When it comes to bags, Elie Beaumont always manages to pull a new look ‘out of the bag.’ This Summer, we had the wonderfully designed cloth Serendipity bags that were vibrant and lightweight, and such a change from their usual leather bags, now, for Autumn’Winter, they have done it again. My current obsession is the Fabric Tote in the black and copper fan design. Did anyone say ‘art deco?’.

Art Deco Design

Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with all things ‘Art Deco’, and this bag absolutely exudes all the beauty and design of the Jazz Age. It has a beautiful black and copper all over design that is very reminiscent of classic Biba and lots of other, eye catching details, like the exquisite fringing around the top of the bag. The bag is also fully lined in velvet, which gives the whole design a feel of luxury and opulence. In short, it is absolutely beautiful, a real showstopper.

Versatile

The great thing about Elie Beaumont bags is that they are designed to be versatile. This fabric tote has been designed ‘to take you from a working week to your night out or weekend away’. It certainly does that. It is big enough to carry all your everyday items with ease as it is roomy, and has plenty of internal space. This means it could be a great work bag. The wonderful design also gives it a dressy, luxurious feel that means you can certainly use it on a night out – I was using it as a handbag in the images below for a night at the theatre and it definitely worked with my outfit.

Security Conscious

In this day and age we are very security conscious, and this bag offers this. It has a full zip fastening, making it harder to get to your belongings, and also has an internal zip pocket which is great for storing valuables like your keys.

The bag can be used as an hand held handbag with double top handles, but it also comes with an adjustable shoulder strap which means you can also use it as a crossbody, messenger style bag. I was on holiday and doing some touristy things, and this was perfect as it meant I could be hands free, great when you’re taking photos.
