Beds To Fit Any Room This Summer

The most important part of any bedroom has to be the bed, isn’t it. After all, it’s not called the wardrobe-room, or the chest-of-drawers room, so it stands to reason that the bed you sleep in should be fit for a king. And this should apply whatever sized room you have, from a smaller box room, to a massive chamber with an on-suite. We spend a lots of time in our beds, almost a third of our week in total, and so it should be somewhere we look forward to spending our time.

If you are looking for a new bed this Summer, then you should consult a bed specialist. A company like Bedstar can address all your bed needs, whether you be looking for a bed for your own room, a bed to transform your guest room, or an update for your children’s room. They will also be able to sort out the all important mattresses, whether you are looking for something more supportive like an orthopaedic design, or just the ultimate in comfort.

Here are some of the designs I love when it comes to a bed that can transform your room.

An Ottoman Bed

Ottoman beds are many people’s beds of choice, particularly when it comes to smaller sized bedrooms. The reason for this is that they are not only stylish and comfortable, but they actually encompass some truly brilliant, and useful storage. An Ottoman bed is a bed that allows you to lift the body of the bed in order to use the underside for storage. This is great to store extra toys, out of season clothing, extra blankets and bedding, literally just about everything. Ottoman beds come in all sizes, from 3ft single beds (perfect for your children’s room as it has its own, built in toybox) right up to the huge 6ft superking.

Ottoman beds offer the same amount of comfort as a regular bed, and can also come in a range of designs to tie in with your taste and existing decor. There are ultra modern leather style designs that would be perfect for a minimalist look or for a bachelor pad, traditional looking Chesterfield designs that would work in a more vintage styled room and could look perfect if you have a larger bedroom and have an Italian sofa in the room, or there are wooden bed frames in natural and white that would work in a rustically styled, or Scandi styled room.

Ottoman beds are brilliant for smaller rooms where storage may be a problem, as they could take the place of at least one wardrobe or set of drawers. They also work well if you are one of those people who just seem to have accumulated a lot of stuff that you don’t really need, but don’t want to part with either. They are the win-win of the bed world.

Children’s beds

When it comes to children’s beds, the ultimate in space savers are the bunk beds. These are beds where two beds take up the same amount of space as one, and so are great if your children have to share a room, or if they are constantly having friends and family over to stay.

Bunk beds offer the fun bed option, and your children can take it in turns when it comes to top and bottom bunk. You can let your children show their personality by choosing different duvet covers for each bed, and many bunk beds also have room underneath that can be used for storing toys. Bunk beds can usually be separated, which means that as your children get older, the bed can get older and adapt with them. Definitely a worthwhile investment for your growing family.

Guest beds

Guest beds are a necessity if you often have family or friends over to stay, or if your family lives a distance away from you, which means that a visit can often include an overnight stay. The best sort of guest beds double up, either in the form of a sofa bed that can then be transformed back into a sofa once your guests have gone, or if the form of being a single bed that has another bed tucked underneath.

One of my favourite examples of a brilliant, multi functional guest bed is the Julian Bowen Maine 3FT Single Bookcase Pull Out Guest Bed from Bedstar. This is a single bed that not only has another single that can be pulled out when required, but also has a lovely bookshelf feature which again would be lovely in a smaller bedroom. The book shelf is perfect for a little bookworm who loves to do a touch of reading before bedtime, as it could also house a night light for ease of reading.
