Arts and Antiques For Everyone at the Birmingham NEC made a welcome return last weekend with its usual range of antiques from all periods, and of all shapes and sizes. I went along to feast on the gorgeousness, a particularly rewarding experience as there were lots of items from my favourite era, the Art Deco era of 1925-40. Art Deco is beautiful and elegant, with lots of streamlined shapes, geometric lines and glamorous curves. At this years fayre there was a lot of Art Deco furniture of the sort you would imagine gracing an episode of Poirot, or Eltham Palace, all in the elegance of walnut wood and cream leather.…
