Christmas gift ideas – Champagne and Spirits
Today I’m continuing the Christmas countdown with some gift ideas that never seem to disappoint. Yes, I’m talking about presents of the alcoholic kind. I always find that these are a great pick for the person who is difficult to buy for, as long as you know their tipple of choice, you have a pretty good chance of delighting the recipient of the gift. In addition, alcoholic gifts are great presents if you are buying for a couple, or a gift ‘from our house to yours’. Let’s face it, who has ever been disappointed with a bottle of Champagne?
31 Dover is a great choice if you are looking for something a little bit more special than a bottle in a gift bag. From beautifully gift boxed wine selections complete with glasses, to Shaken cocktail sets including the Claridge Cocktail and the Elderflower Collins, these are really exquisite gifts that will delight just about anyone.

My personal favourites are the Gin inspired range. The Gin Mare Lantern gift set is fantastic, a really novel way of presenting a bottle of Gin as a gift, whilst the Copperhead Gin Alchemist gift set is just so unusual and quirky, it would certainly appeal to all those who love the new Gin Palaces that have popped up in recent years (I’m thinking the Jeckyll and Hyde in Birmingham for one.)

There are also cute stocking fillers, including mini bottle of Bottega Prosecco in gold and metallic pink bottles, and who could resist a bottle of chocolate wine that comes with even more chocolates. (I’ll give you a hint – I couldn’t, but that may just be my chocoholic tendancies coming to the fore.)

Do you ever buy alcoholic gifts at Christmas, or does this go against the (barley) grain for you? Would you be happy to receive Champagne in your stocking?

Ahh those gin sets are amazing. I’m such a booze buyer for Christmas. This year I’m trying to go for more cocktail sets rather than bottles though 🙂
