Fashion Gifts For Christmas
I always look for fashion gifts in my Christmas stocking. These may be a pair of new pjs, something practical and useful, or accessories of some kind. If you are buying for a lady who loves her fashion, here are some gift ideas that may just be the answer to your buying dilemmas.
Original Lift & Shape Tape from Perky Pair
This tape is a celebrity favourite, worn by the likes of Holly Willoughby, Gemma Collins and Geri Halliwell, a must have for those who like to wear backless dresses that require you to leave the bra at home, but have boobs that are just too big to have no support (holding my hand right up here.) The original lift and shape tape from Perky Pair is a Christmas life saver.
The tape works like a non-surgical breast lift for less than £20 creating a lifted and rounded shape to your breasts that will help your most revealing dresses and tops look great, and leave you feeling supported. The original lift and shape tape goes right up to a g cup, and comes in a flesh coloured beige colourway so it can be worn under anything.
Another fashion must have for Christmas are the comfortable and stylish leggings from Love Leggings. Love Leggings is the go to store if you are looking for the perfect pair of leggings as they offer a range of styles for every day, for sport, for maternity and in different leg lengths.
They offer sizing that starts from childrens, to 5xl womens, and come in more than 20 colours, although classic black is my lifesaver under dresses that are just a little bit too short. I love that they are made from the highest quality fabrics, with a none see-through guarantee, and that they look good, no puckering at the knees, they skim and fit your body without feeling tight and too loose. You can find my review of Love Leggings here.
Tights and Socks From UK Tights
Tights and socks really come into their own in Winter. Bare legs seem like a distant memory as we wear jeans and socks and boots, or add tights to our dresses and evening looks. The good news is that socks and tights can be glorious, with cute designs for the former, and glamorous looks for the later, especially as glittery and lurex tights are a big look for A/W 2019.
UK Tights is my absolute go to for socks and tights are their range is massive in terms of style, and they have a brilliant range of sizes to go with this.
The Transparenze Vlinder style are an absolute fave. These are most definitely a pair of party tights. They come in two shades, both with a light dusting of lurex to give them a fabulous shimmer.
In terms of socks, my mantra is the fluffier, the better, especially when I plan to wear them under wellies on wet football days, so I love the Charnos feather cosy socks, which may just be the softest, fluffiest socks you have ever worn. They come in a great range of colours, and cost £7.99, making them great for a secret Santa gift idea.
Pyjamas From UK Lingerie
Pyjamas are a great Christmas gift idea. They are practical and cosy, they work for most women, and they also make a great addition to a Christmas Eve box. UK Lingerie are known for their stunning lingerie, but it also has a fantastic collection of sleepwear, including pjs, nighties and robes.
The Blackspade range is gorgeous, and in particular, I am loving the Blackspade Noir Lily Long Sleeve PJ Set, which have a very Christmassy tartan print. I love the traditional style with a button through top and drawstring bottoms, and the soft cosy brushed fabric that makes them comfortable and very easy to move in.
Fashion Lover Books
Another gift idea that is perfect for the fashion lover is a style book. This is something that can be enjoyed again and again, and is the sort of present I love to receive.
Invitation Strictly Personal by Iain R. Webb, is a stunning, coffee table book that is available from Carlton Books. It is an illustrated guide to the brightest and most stylish of invites to fashion shows spanning over 40 years. Think invitations from the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Yves St Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors and Jean Paul Gaultier amongst others. It is a great illustration of changing fashion, and has a forward by the legendary Anna Sui.
A beautiful must have for those who like their presents seriously stylish.
Parisian Chic Encore by Ines De La Fressange is her follow up to Parisian Chic (published by Flammirian). Ines is the queen of minimal, effortless French style, and this book, once again, is like a fashion bible, giving you advice on where to shop, what to buy, and how to wear it. Some things remain from the first book (classic is classic after all) but this books updates the original hints and tips to show how to be fashionable and eco-conscious, how to curate your closet, and how to update Parisian style.
A Feast For A Foodie
If you know someone who truly loves good food and a drink, then a Christmas hamper of all their faves is something that will definitely put a smile on their face. Blossoming Gifts are known for their beautiful Christmas bouquets, but did you also know that they have a range of hampers too.
My favourite example is the Christmas Carol Hamper. It contains all my favourites, a decent bottle of red wine, chocolates, biscuits and maple syrup fudge. It also has some cracking savoury treats including chutney, roasted peanuts and chilli and garlic crackers.
This can be sent to your own home, or to the home of a recipient. What a wonderful treat this would be to come home to.
If All Else Fails…Grab A Voucher
Sometimes it is just too difficult to know what to buy a person, and this is when it is best to grab for a voucher. Voucher Express is a great one stop shop for vouchers, that can be bought for many stores and online business, including retail, food and entertainment. But the VEX card may just be the best solution.
This is a card you can buy that can be used at a wide range of venues and stores, so the recipient can pretty much spend it where they want to. Another great thing about the VEX is that it works if you are buying a present for someone who lives further afield. You can simply buy and load up your card online with the amount of your choice, and then the gift card can be sent to your recipient in a gift card and wallet, all set for Christmas.
