L’Occitaine and In Style host a pamper evening in Pavilions, Birmingham
June 10, 2012/
L’Occitaine and In Style have been hosting a series of pampering and style events all over the country recently, and I was very excited to be invited to the Birmingham event, held in the Pavilions Birmingham branch, and attended by a host of stylish customers and fashion and beauty bloggers. This was a great opportunity to enjoy a glass of fizz and canapes, whilst getting the chance to have a hand and arm massage and an introduction to a host of wonderful new products.
With a host of lovely Brum fashion bloggers, Laura from The Doll on Fashion, Bhav from Wardrobe Mag, Emily Jayne from Emily Jayne Image and Jen from Style Birmingham, along with Emma Fox from SX Media, I was able to savour some of the very best products from the L’Occitaine range. A favourite was the wonderful Peony collection, the ‘Pivoine Delicate’ with its beautiful fresh floral scent. We all fell in love with the delicate shimmering powder (£22), with its old-fashioned puff style decanter. It looks like something that should be sitting on great grandmother’s dressing table, and leaves a gorgeous, shimmering sheen on your skin.
There was also a great opportunity to check out some of the new brands that L’Occitaine is introducing this summer. The Angelica collection has had some great new additions, including the Hydration face mist (£16) that is perfect to keep in your handbag for hot sunny days where it provides an instant pick me up. It is also great to spray over make-up for that dewy catwalk look.
My favourite new products were the range of cologne. The Eau Captivante has a fresh mint fragrance that could suit both sexes. Eau Universelle has a citrus, zesty smell that screams of Bergamot and grapefruit, whilst Eau Ravissante is the most feminine fragrance with subtle rose scent. Each comes in a huge 300ml bottle that has a definite Art Deco feel to it, whilst also being available in a 50ml handbag size that is priced at a very reasonable £21.
There were also hand and arm massages for those who wished to try some of the products at for themselves, and all guests were also given a free complimentary skin consultation appointment, something which I am really looking forward to. The L’Occitaine staff at Pavilions, Birmingham are very knowledgeable about their products and their beneficial properties, in particular, the award-winning Immortelle range that is so beloved of beauty editors everywhere.
This was a fabulous night that was enjoyed by all who attended. The goodie bag was also amazing, containing £50 of L’Occitaine products to try at home.
With thanks to Emma Fox and L’Occitaine Birmingham for the invite.
