Reviewed – Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo
I only really wear lipstick for a glamorous night out, and then I do go for Hollywood bright colours. But on a day-to-day basis, I tend to leave the lips natural, or just add a tinted lip balm. So the idea of a nude lip stylo, that was designed to enhance the natural colour of the lips, whilst also leaving them feeling soft and conditioned, was something I was most definitely interested in. Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo offers all of those things, and is now available from that most beautiful of department stores, Liberty.
First things first, the Hourglass nude Lip Stylo looks amazing. I’m a sucker for packaging that is attractive, and this most certainly is, a sort of art deco vintage make up look that you wouldn’t be ashamed to pull out of your bag to do a retouch. The colour is in the form of a retractable crayon, leaving no need for sharpening, but you must remember to retract the colour fully before putting the lid back on.
In terms of the shade, I tried out number 3, nude rose, which, as you’d probably guess from the name, was a very pinky shade. On my lips I found it to be a little too nude, giving a lovely 60s effect lip which I liked but didn’t really feel suited my skin tone. What I did love was how my lips felt pumped up, giving a really nice pout effect without the trout . This made it a great basis for my evening lipsticks, certainly making them last longer.
For £22, I think this is a great glamorous product that will last you quite a while and will certainly help to give balance and fullness to your lips. I really want to try it in another shade to see if I can get the perfect daytime look for my lips because I love the general feeling of wearing it, if not the actual colour.
