I’m going to start this post with a confession – I’m not a great fan of Sadie Jones’s book. I read The Outcast this summer, I’d found it in a charity shop during a trip to Wales and fell in love with the stunning cover. The book sounded great too, set in one of my favourite decades, the 1950s, and with a glamorous lead character in the charismatic Elizabeth. If I could choose one designer to create my wardrobe for the rest of my life, it would be the wonderful Alice Temperley. Her designs are just so typically English, ethereal, mystical and totally feminine, and have attracted celebrity fans in their droves.
