Hurrah! French Sole come to Wysteria Lane.

One of my favourite Birmingham stores is the  delightful Wysteria Lane in Pavillions. This is a gorgeous, girly boudoir of a shop, stocking such premium brands as Nougat London, Cath Kidston and Bombay Duck. Today I am delighted to tell you that Wysteria Lane is now going to be the exclusive Birmingham stockist of one of Kate Middleton’s favourite shoe brands, French Sole.

Unless you have been residing on planet Mars for the last few months, you can’t have failed to notice that we have a new Duchess in our midst. Step forward, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Britain’s newest style star. Everything  she wears is instantly a style must have. SO when she was pictured, a week after her wedding shopping in Waitrose in Anglesey, what was the oh-so-stylish Kate wearing on her feet? The answer is a pair of French Sole mock croc ballerina  flats of course!

So – who are French Sole? French Sole have been offering their ballerina flats in over 500 different colour combinations and materials for more than 21 years. Loved by the celebs – Kate Moss is a fan, they have a reputation for style and comfort, looking amazing with skinny jeans or pretty summer dresses.

So if you want to get the Kate look, or just want a pair of really stylish shoes, get yourself to Wysteria Lane this weekend.

From ‘Waity Katy to Waitrose Katy’

Almost a week after she walked down the aisle in that stunning McQueen dress, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge was spotted out and about on the Isle of Anglesey doing her food shop in the local branch of Waitrose.

Kate looked casual but smart, showing that despite claims that the Queen had said that Kate should now avoid the skinny jeans, Kate is going to do no such thing. She was wearing one of her favourite brands, £195 Hudson jeans, with luxurious Sloane favourites – a long line white cashmere sweater, French Sole mock croc pumps, and a pretty green frilled shawl. Her hair was glossy, and although she did look  a little bit tired, she did have that newlywed glow.

Kate is clearly staying faithful to her fashion favourites, having worn Hudson jeans as long ago as 2008, when she was pictured in a pair of black bootcut jeans.

It was quite funny that many newspapers referred to her as Kate Middleton, as if the Duchess of Cambridge sounded too old for such a young pretty girl. Prince William apparently refers to her as Mrs Wales – which sounds much more suitable.

Mr and Mrs Wales will soon be doing their first public tour, with a trip to Canada planned for late June,  which will be followed with a few days in Hollywood, where they may catch up with The Beckhams again. This is sure to be a glamorous occasion that Kate watchers will be looking forward to.
