Winter Warmers From Blacks And Millets

If you are still choosing your Christmas gifts (and I for one are certainly not finished yet), then maybe you could pick something out that is on the practical side. For whilst we often choose fast fashion items for our loved ones, things they wear today and forget tomorrow, a good quality, yet practical and wearable item of clothing is often a better option. I’m thinking of Women’s winter jackets or maybe a Men’s North Face waterproof jacket for the special person in your life.

I have to admit that I am not the sort of person you would generally see in a parka, with some sort of wool coat or Trenchcoat being more my style. But it is already showing signs of being a cold, cold winter, and I do lots of outdoor activities. I follow West Bromwich Albion and go to most home matches, my son plays Sunday morning football in all weathers, often in the wind and the rain, and I’ve recently starting going to watch ice hockey in a very cold Skydome. Clearly these are occasions when you need to be wrapped up against the elements.

The TECHNICALS Women’s Polar Parka is both warm and stylish. A classic parka style complete with fur hood and zipped pockets, including an internal security pocket, this coat is like having your own central heating system, and it looks great with jeans and boots. It repels the rain so no matter how bad the weather is, you remain dry, and the padded lining adds warmth without adding bulk like the now fashionable Puffa jackets do.

I’ve been wearing my coat for football of all varieties and can absolutely confirm that it is warm and snug and gives me Quadrophenia Vibes (always a good thing).  I wore it last night on a particularly cold and biting night at The Hawthorns and it kept me warm throughout the match.

If you want to check out some Men’s waterproof jackets take a look at Blacks or Millets, both of whom have a large selection, including the THE NORTH FACE Men’s waterproof Jacket shown below.
