Typically Tropical Style From Dorothy Perkins
Well the weather has turned , decidedly untropical after a couple of weeks when it was totally glorious, so I think we need a little bit of brightness in our lives. Dorothy Perkins has picked up the mantle and ran with it, giving us some fashion ideas that combine bright colours and exotic floral prints to give us a little bit of sunshine in our wardrobes.
Tropical prints are always a Summer staple, something we often indulge in when we are planning on going abroad to somewhere that could also be described as tropical. But just because we are more likely to have a staycation than a vacation this year, it doesn’t mean you should dismiss those sorts of prints. Not only do the bright colours and patterns help to lift our moods when we are wearing them, they also fit into our wardrobes pretty well.
Wearing a brightly printed top combined with dark denim, or even adding a chunky knit cardigan, can look great, and certainly not out of place when taking your daily exercise. In addition, a printed maxi dress or jumpsuit looks cool and casual if you add trainers and a denim jacket, you can always swap the trainers for flip flops on better days.
I’ve been indulging in some bright, tropical prints
