Review – Chi Kitchen Birmingham
Chi Kitchen is a food journey through South East Asia. A Pan Asian Fusion restaurant, the menu has dishes inspired by China and Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand and is a complete culinary taste experience. I was invited along to the Birmingham Branch, which can be found in Debenhams in the Bullring, and found myself eating some of the best food I have ever eaten. This is definitely a restaurant that I could return to again and again. The restaurant itself is located within Debenhams, but get rid of any ideas that this is a department store food court, the restaurant is stylish and sophisticated, with a large bar and…

Primark Fashion Challenge with The Fort
Like most people, I am a bit of a fan when it comes to Primark, or Primarni, as it is often referred to. When the budget for shopping is a little limited I know I will be able to find myself a lovely wardrobe addition that will also be purse friendly. I love the shoe collection, which even has wider fit shoes now, and also the jewellery, particularly the necklaces, which often belie their bargain price, looking far more expensive. I was recently asked to take part in a bloggers style challenge with the brand new Primark store at The Fort shopping centre in Birmingham. What outfit(s) could I put…

The Sea Life Centre, Birmingham
On Sunday we made what has become our annual trip to the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. My little boy Joe absolutely loves the place and insists that our Summer’s always include a trip so he can see his favourites – the Penguins, the sharks and the rays, and this year, we also took my three year old niece too. Suffice to say we had a brilliant time – the Sea Life Centre never disappoints in our eyes. The Penguins are always a great favourite, their enclosure really do resemble the land of ice and snow that is Antarctica, and there antics of all choosing to swim at exactly…

The Elite Fashion Show – A very special night.
Sunday saw the 2nd Elite Fashion Show, the charity fashion event organised by the incredible Mr Birmingham, Joshua Williams. The event, which took place at the beautiful Burlington Hotel, combined up and coming designers and local brands, with music and dance, and a truly unforgettable, life affirming catwalk from young people living with the effects of mental illness. It was a very special, unforgettable evening that I was lucky enough to be part of. The show got off to a great start with international dancer Shelley Anderson and Co setting the room alight with their routine, and then the presenters, Rachael Barker and Sophie Lydia Smith started their introductions, which…
