Dior Poison Girl exclusively at Boots

A new Dior fragrance is always something to celebrate, and when the fragrance is also a part of the iconic Poison family, the reason to celebrate gets a little bit stronger. Poison Girl has been described as the ultimate scent for the modern-day girl, with a bitter sweet floral scent that combines the best of fruit and flowers, along with Venezuelen Tonka beans. Destined to become a favourite with those who love a recognisable signature scent, the Eau de Parfum is now available at Boots in 30, 50 and 100ml bottles.

I was sent a sample of Dior’s Poison Girl to test drive, and I have to say that it is a gorgeous, grown up fragrance that lasts and lingers.  You can tell it is a ‘Poison’ scent, it has the dark undertones that make it sensuous and powerful, with vanilla mixing in with the orange and grasse rose. Many have commented on its similarity to Black Opium and I have to agree with this, but what I personally love is that it is a long lasting fragrance, one which you can still smell and enjoy long after you have sprayed it. It is also a heady scent – not good for those who are shy and retiring and prefer their perfumes intimate, but if you like your scent to enter the room before you do, this is a good one to choose.

The bottle is beautiful, a pink and pretty twist on the original, 1980s iconic Poison bottle that became so identifiable in green. It will certainly be a very attractive addition to any dressing table or bathroom shelf.
