Dressing up your jeans with High Street Outlet
There are times when I thank heavens for jeans. As a general rule I live in skirts and dresses, but there are just some mornings when I reach for the nearest pair of jeans, a simple t-shirt, and head off on the school run. There are also times when the weather isn’t great, and a night out involves slightly more walking than just car-to-bar, and that is when the old staple of jeans, heels and a pretty top comes into its own.
This weekend I was in Blackpool, and a night out consisted of a long walk along the promenade, making the most of the good weather, then a few drinks with my boys, and a quick flutter in one of the many amusement arcades. For this night out I opted for a really lovely, floaty tunic style top from High Street Outlet. This top was previously from Wallis, but High Street Outlet have de-tagged the top in order to sell it at a substantially discounted price.
The top is a lovely shape, almost like an artists smock style, with handkerchief style draped detail. The scoop neck has a beaded necklace detail – this is removable so it is not likely to be damaged during washing. The top also has long sleeves, with small button cuff details, this will appeal to all those ladies who are constantly saying they hate their arms. It is cool enough to wear in summer, but would also be a glamorous piece come winter, worn with peg trousers and stiletto heels.
Because the top has a voluminous shape, this works best when the layer worn on the bottom is more fitted – so a skinny jeans is just right for this look. The necklace detail means that accessories can be kept to a minimum.
Dress it or up wear it with skinnies and flats, I think this top is a winner either way.

I LIVE in dresses and skirts too, but I definitely know what you mean. Jeans are also a must! But similarly, I always feel I need a really good top to make the jeans look good. Lovely outfit! Paige x

There are just some days that call for jeans, but it’s nice to have the option to dress them up too.

It is a lovely shape. I like that it’s nice and loose around the waist and hips – makes it very flattering.
