Lindex Autumn/Winter Fashion Picks

I always love to discover new fashion brands, and when the brands are affordable, offer clothes of brilliant quality, and are also dedicated to sustainability and empowering women, then even better! Lindex is just such a company. Although it has a long history of fashion and style in Europe, with 440 stores across the World, it is not a company that I can say I was familiar with. But this has been my mistake, as their clothes are just fabulous, offering effortless style for women of all ages and tastes, with pieces that work for everyday casual wear, and dressier pieces that will be just perfect for Christmas.

I have recently been testing driving a couple of pieces for size, and have to say I am totally converted to the brand. Lindex has a new fan in Fashion-mommy, and I will definitely be heading back for a second look.

First up is the Mock neck jumper in a stunning light pink shade. This jumper is like wearing a hug, it is so soft, warm and cosy. Made using 60% recycled polyester, the fabric is literally baby soft, and yet unlike many other soft wools, it is not in the slightest bit itchy, which is my total bugbear when it comes to knits. The jumper has a mock neck which is like a low polo, and then has this amazing tassle detail that is just so eye catching and attractive.

The colour is beautiful, a soft, almost baby pink that would look great teamed with neutrals like grey and camel, as well as colour clashing with red, and classic black. The sleeves are a statement piece, as they are both long and wide, but you can easily turn them up if required.

This jumper has more than enough going on to not need any form of accessory, but it actually looks lovely when worn with a scarf, as you can see below. For information, I wear a 14-16 in a jumper and this is size large.

The second piece I am wearing from Lindex is the Midi skirt in imitation leather. This is just a brilliant, versatile piece that will work so well with everything in your wardrobe. It has a slightly a-line, flared fit, and a side zip fastening, but it also has an elasticated waistband which means that I frankly never bother with the zip – it just adds a nice detail.

I have teamed it with the jumper for a warm daytime look, and it truly is the perfect Autumn skirt, for although I am wearing it here with flat animal print shoes, it would also work well with boots when the weather turns wintry. As it is black, it would work with pretty much any colour, and I am looking forward to wearing it with a black cashmere polo neck for a classic look.

I’ve worn this skirt for a night occasion too, when I went to see the Black Sabbath ballet at the Birmingham Hippodrome, and think it is the perfect evening skirt, smart, but with an edge. On that occasion I teamed it with a vintage blazer, and gold and green accessories, and I think this works well too.
