Men’s style focus – cardigans
I can remember the days when a man would rather freeze than wear a cardigan. It was the in the days when my grandad(bless him) had a rather nifty collection that combined patterns, zips and over-sized lapels. The days when Val Doonican sat in a rocking chair, sporting a comfy knit and crooned his heart out. Cardigans were warm, they were functional, but they certainly were not fashion.
Now it is hard to move for them, they have become an integral, and stylish area of mens clothing. Think of any hot man, from sportsmen to actors, and they will show you a rather fine cardigan. David Beckham, Zac Efron, Daniel Craig, Ashton Kutcher and both the Ryans, Reynolds and Gosling, they have all shown the cardigan some love. Hell, Benedict Cumberbatch has even worn his on the red carpet. (It was a rather nice green number and I must admit he looked great.) The mens cardigan started to have its moment a few years ago, and shows no signs of disappearing anytime soon.
Spring is a great time to invest in a cardigan. Yes, the weather is improving – last week was almost tropical – but early mornings and evenings can still be chilly, with the April weather known for being changeable to say the least. I’m not sure what I think of men’s cardigans, haha! Some guys can pull them off but some just end up looking like Grandad’s! 🙂

I am pretty sure Zac Effron would look amazing in just about anything. I do like men wearing cardigans I think it smartens up a look 🙂

I must admit I prefer the thinner styles on men, but when it gets cold they all seem to grab a chunky cardi!
