Mix up the Magic on Playdates
Petits Filous are very popular in my house, with both my little boy and myself being a huge fan of them as an after dinner treat. Recently they have launched a new variety which combines two flavours in one pot. The new variety is called the Magic Square Range and we have been adding these to our after school playdates at our local park.
Magic Squares come in two flavours, strawberry & vanilla and raspberry & vanilla, and both are delicious and still full of calcium and vitamin d, making them feel like a real sweet treat, but with goodness that children need in their balanced diet. The flavours are in a checkerboard formation, so you can either eat the flavours individually, or you can stir and mix them up to make a whole new taste. Needless to say we did a little bit of both. They make the perfect mini snack for after school fun.
On sunny days we are lucky enough to have a brand new, and rather lovely, park area just across the road from Joe’s school, so a trip on the way home is a must to allow Joe time with his friends and an opportunity to run off his excess energy. I take a bag of supplies which includes his football, a drink and some snacks and we often play for a hour or more. The break is as much for me as for Joe – time in the fresh air and away from the computer screen is a real bonus.
The ‘Magic Squares’ are a lovely, healthy snack which we have added to the ‘mix’. Joe really enjoys them as an alternative to ice cream, and there is never any waste – which is always a good thing. They are also fairly quick to eat, so Joe can take a little comfort break and run off to enjoy more shots at goal.
