Reviewed – Multi Sequin Print Maxi Dress

As a real lover of maxi dresses, it was inevitable that when I packed for my recent holiday in Menorca, the case was going to contain quite a few pretty maxi’s. The multi sequin print dress from Wallis was always going to find room in my bag, the colours are just so pretty, this was calling out for a holiday sun tan to set it off perfectly.

The multi print sequin dress is distinctly Pucci style in it’s vibrant print. Made up of gorgeous summer shades, yellow, pink, blue and purple that give an Aurora Borealis effect when meshed together, the dress is perfect for anyone who just loves bright colours in their summer wardrobe.

DSCN7896[1]I had read some reviews of this dress before I chose it, and it had received a bit of a mixed reception, but I have to say that I really liked it and found it both easy to wear, and very eye-catching due to that aforementioned print. The dress is a soft, silky jersey fabric that doesn’t crease and so can literally be screwed up in your suitcase, and then emerge looking perfect and ready to wear. It needs no accessorising, although I do think some jangly bangles work well with it.

DSCN7895[1] The dress is a good length, but not too long. I’m 5ft7inches and can wear this with totally flat sandals, so ladies who are a little shorter would be able to add a little wedge or kitten heel if they needed extra height. I would say that the dress is generously cut, I could’ve easily gone down a size in this to get a more slinky fit, but liked the looseness of the fabric, it made the dress a cool option on what was a rather sticky evening.

DSCN7894[1]This dress works really well as a holiday dress, but is also elegant enough for a summer wedding or special occasion. It is currently quite low in stock, but there are some sizes available online, and also some more fabulous maxi’s in the Wallis collection, both for those who love print and those who like a plainer option.

  1. I am not sure about maxi dresses. I always get drawn to them, but then I try them on and I am always disappointed. I am quite small (ok, tiny… I must have stopped growing when I was 12) so I would need to get the sewing machine out to take a good meter off, ha!
