Reviewed – Roller blinds from Blinds Supermarket
I’m in the middle of house renovations at the present time. In the last year I have revamped my bathroom and transformed my little boys bedroom from a nursery into an abode fit for a transport loving youngster. I have also had new windows throughout the house, in an attempt to restore some of the Victorian styled period features that fit the mood of a house built in 1898.
The new windows are amazing, particularly the large picture window that has been fitted in the front(dining) room. Unfortunately, the new window means that the drawer curtains no longer fit, and such a large window makes privacy becomes very important. But there was an easy solution to this issue provided by Blinds Supermarket.
Blinds Supermarket offered me the chance to try out their bespoke blind service. They promise a quick service with a blind that fits your needs, giving the customer the opportunity to tailor make every aspect of the blind, so that the finished product is perfect for you. The company has an excellent website with a virtual room plan. You can actually colour the walls the same shade as your room, and then match the blind accordingly. This removes the guess-work element – you can see if the blind you have chosen is really right for your room before you order.
The blind that I opted for was a roller blind. Roller blinds are great as they can pretty much to be made to any size, useful if you are covering a larger than average window. The print chosen was the ‘Betsy Grey’ which mixed a brown, black and natural and grey leaf pattern. I thought this would look good against the plain colour of the walls. Blinds Supermarket allows you to order a sample of any blind, but I used the blind visualizer to judge how it would look in my dining room.
We chose everything related to this blind, from the pole, to which side the blind controls were placed. Delivery was within a couple of days, and fitting the blind was really easy – it is literally brackets and a few screws. It fits absolutely perfectly inside the window, and looks attractive whilst offering the level of privacy needed in this room.
I would highly recommend Blinds Supermarket if you are thinking of purchasing a blind. Definitely a stylish alternative to curtains – I’m now thinking of getting blinds throughout the house!
