ROAM Trainers From Rachel Simpson Shoes

Do you remember the days when trainers were the domain of the sporty miss. You know, the tomboy who lived in trackie bottoms and jeans, who always wore a cap, and was most definitely under the age of 30. It’s hard to believe now that there was a time when strangers had a distinct uniform, and belonged to a definite age group, unless you were at the gym or running. Now trainers are everywhere, worn by women of all ages, and worn with everything, from the prettiest dresses and skirts, to shorts in Summer. I live in mine, couldn’t be without them, and now have a new, favourite pair.

Rachel Simpson Shoes

Rachel Simpson shoes is a name synonymous with the most beautiful, elegant shoes, often with a vintage feel. You might be surprised however, to learn that Rachel also has her own range of trainers, the ROAM range.

The Roam collection from Rachel Simpson Shoes could be described as a truly grown up, glamorous trainer, the kind designed to be worn by a dress as well as jeans. Although they are described as ‘platform trainers’, these are not the Spice Girl monstrosities, but rather a gentle platform that not only gives you a slight elevation and a little bit of height, but also makes these very comfortable to walk in and wear every single day.

Aria White & Leopard Trainers

The Aria white and leopard print trainers are possibly my favourite trainers. For a start, white trainers are always the classic, the stark, standouts that will go with any outfit. The Aria design is minimal in that it has an almost classic height sole and is mainly white, with white laces as a  centre point.

Where they add the interest are the back tab, which has a stylish leopard print which is just gorgeous. Add in an antique gold wraparound detail and you have a really glamorous looking trainer.

They are also super comfortable too, as they have been designed to be worn everyday and the design details reflect this. They have a luxuriously cushioned insole which means they are fine to wear without socks (I’m not a fan of the liner socks so this is perfect for me). They also have a padded collar, which not only ensured support with every step, but also avoided rubbing my ankles, even on the first wear.

ROAM trainers are for women who want to add stylish additions to their footwear collection, and want something a bit more discerning than the usual Adidas and Nike offerings.
