Pippa’s latest looks.

There seems to be no abatement in the fascination with Pippa Middleton. News that Prince Harry has a new and very beautiful girlfriend seems to put paid to the Harry/Pippa hook-up stories, but Pippa herself still seems to be involved with a love affair with the public. This month she has been on the receiving end of some criticism linked to herself and sister Kate being role models for anorexia sites due to their super-slim figures. This seems to be both unfair and ridiculous, as the copious amounts of images of Pippa running through the streets of London, and taking part in triathlons show that Pippa is super fit and healthy.

In fashion news Pippa has been sticking to her tried and tested formula of cute dresses with the addition of a jacket for the changeable British Summer weather. I really loved the blue and green polka-dotted dress that disproves my granddad’s old adage of ‘blue and green never be seen’.  Pippa’s other  outfit shows that, like Kate Moss, Pippa understands the adaptable nature of a black blazer. This looks really smart over her printed dress. I am also enamoured with her stylish laptop case, the Knomo Slim, which is a really stylish accessory as well as being practical.

Pippa has also been photographed recently wearing the Alex dress from Whistles. This denim skater dress looked great with tan accessories, and is still available to buy online.

More Pippa updates to follow, and next week we have another royal wedding to look forward to, as Zara Phillips ties the knot with Mike Tindall.

Kate – from Haute Couture to High Street.

Anyone who thought that the wearing of that Sarah Burton wedding dress would see Kate, Duchess of Cambridge move from her beloved High Street to Haute Couture was going to be sorely mistaken. Kate left for her  honeymoon wearing a dress that was bought for £49.99 from…Zara!

Kate had shown her love for the High  Street in the week before the wedding, stocking up on dresses from Warehouse, underwear from Goldenpoint and trousers from Whistles for her honeymoon. She even bought the famous ‘Kate’ blouse from Whistles, leading people to wonder what had happened to the first blouse that led to her needing a second! But the glossy mags have been hoping that Kate would become a leading figurehead for British fashion design,  showcasing the best of British fashion talent on the  World stage.

But maybe Kate is the canny one, realising that the glamour and expense of the wedding dress needed to be balanced out by style that any fashionista could aspire to. And so the new Duchess of Cambridge left for her honeymoon wearing a Grecian style pleated dress from Zara in a lovely shade of blue, teamed with patent LK Bennett wedges that she had also worn for the wedding rehearsal on the 28th April, and a simple black jacket.

The dress, like everything else that the new golden girl of the British Royal family wears, quickly sold out online, whilst fashion sites have been referring Kate fans to copies of the LK Bennett wedge shoes, as Kate bought these last year.

Kate may well be the newest style icon for British fashion, but it is clear that clothes in this Duchess’s wardrobe will have to earn their keep.
