More hot celebrity looks for you to enjoy – featuring Olivia Palermo, Tulisa and Lydia Bright

Well, Fashion-Mommy has just enjoyed a well-earned break which has allowed me to sit and read all the magazines I could find. I’ve literally devoured a diet of fashion for a whole 10 days. And this has given me a perfect opportunity to see the new and key looks some of our favourite fashionista’s have been wearing. The good news is that there are High street buys amongst the looks, as well as investment looks from very exclusive brands.

Here are a few of the looks that kept me sane whilst I was parted from my laptop.

Olivia Palermo is one of the best dressed ladies around, and has a real knack of finding High Street Buys that could be designer. She recently attended  The Girls TV series Premiere In New York wearing a Pearl Queen Jacket from French Connection. This glorious jacket is High End High Street, with a price tag of £300, but it is absolutely stunning, and a real investment piece that could be 1920s vintage.

TOWIE star Lauren Pope is not usually on my style radar, but it jumped to boiling point when I spotted her in this amazing Monaco silk tunic from luxury label Mya Blue Beach whilst holidaying with Chloe Sims. This turquoise kaftan is super stylish with a gorgeously embellished neckline. I love the fact that this could easily take you from the beach to the bar. Just imagine it worn over skinny jeans!

My favourite stylish TOWIE lady, Miss Lydia Bright has sported some super looks lately, as well as a chic new haircut. She showed why raspberry is a great shade for blondes in a gorgeous Love asymmetrical maxi dress that you can get for £45. She has also shown continued loyalty to Miss Selfridge by wearing pieces from the Designed By collection.  I can no longer find the skirt on the website, but the blouse is still available and would look equally stylish with flared jeans for a 70s retro look.

Another lady raiding the shelves at Miss Selfridge is Tulisa. She was papped wearing a great pair of platform sandals from the new Limited Edition shoe range. Again, there is a definite 70s feel to the collection, and, although not always a fan of Tulisa’s style, I think she looks great on this occasion.

Celeste Black Chunky Heel Price: £59.00

Kelly Brook looked great last year when she was spotted in this New Look playsuit. Although this suit was last seasons, I really like the turquoise one that is very similar, and part of this seasons collection.

Bird print playsuit £27.99

Kelly’s limited edition platforms are still available, priced at £59.99, but you could also opt for a lighter version to tie in with the light blue of this playsuit.

Arcadia Press Day Spring/Summer 2012 – Miss Selfridge

Bold sherbet colours mixed in with prints and acid wash shades. Digital prints of birds, trees and landscapes. Prada style pleated skirts and dresses that cover all bases for Summer occasions, from weddings to lazy picnics in the park. The Miss Selfridge Spring/Summer 2012 collection is a beautiful array of looks that will add an ice cream lustre to your wardrobe.

The Designed By collection, which was a huge hit when launched in Autumn, is continuing, my pick being the stunning hot pink skirt with the floral and bird print. The softest, lightest fabric, this skirt just needs a simple vest and toe post sandals to be the perfect summer outfit. The Designed By collection will be available online and in just 20 stores, so is sure to sell out very quickly.

And then we move onto pleats. A massive hit last summer, this is a trend that is not going to disappear any time soon. All over the catwalk at Prada, this is a very different look for those who remember Miss Selfridge as the home of the thigh skimming pelmet. In midi lengths, this seems to have been inspired by Olivia Palermo, and is a sophisticated look that could attract a whole new market to Miss Selfridge.

I love the sherbet colours that are all over this collection, they are just so fresh and very,  very feminine. The lace and pleated dress below could be an original 1960s vintage piece, you can imagine Alexa Chung rocking this with some boyish brogues and a leather jacket.

There are also items that have a distinctly boho feel to them. I chatted to press officer Lisa Goody who told me that there had been lots of research in Ibiza which had led to the creation of sheer and embroidered dresses that had been designed to be worn over shorts and bikini’s,so that they could take you from the beach to the bar and beyond. These see through  dresses also come in tie-dye varieties and with embellishment and beading to add an evening look to them. I will be writing a more detailed feature on these soon, so watch this space!

Another eye-catching trend that I think could be HUGE, are these gorgeous plastic tote bags. Coming in a range of colours, these really are the carry everywhere bags. Great for the beach, toting folders for college, a brilliant bag for Yummy mummy’s to carry nappies, wipes etc, or just your Saturday afternoon shopping bag, these are tough, durable, wipe clean and waterproof. I’m definitely adding this to my summer shopping must haves.
