Walk Into Style With Cotton Traders

One of the best things about Winter are those cold crisp days which are just made for frosty walks. Sure you need to wrap yourself up as it can be pretty freezing, especially over the last few weeks, when we’ve even had a bit of snow, but they are also gorgeous, perfect for blowing away those cobwebs and clearing your head.

I love a Winter Walk, even when it is cold. I always feels better for getting out and about, especially in beautiful surroundings. My favourite place to go for a Winter walk is Ironbridge, the birthplace of the industrial revolution, home to the World’s oldest iron bridge, and a world heritage site, but also a wonderful little town with the most picturesque scenery, lots of quirky little independent shops, and the best sausage rolls and chips you will find. My ideal walk is to start at the bottom and gently ascend up towards the bridge, and then to take a walk across it, enjoying those amazing views of the river Severn, whilst marvelling at the stunning feat of engineering that is the bridge. After all this, it’s time for tea and scones, a much needed comfort break!

Cotton Traders realise that Winter walks are just the thing to lift the spirit as we head into February. They have a brilliant range of pieces that offer great style, but are also warm and comfortable, and will work wonderfully with any other pieces you may already have in your wardrobe. Think comfortable straight leg jeggings with no need for buttons, teddy coats that really are a hug in a coat, gorgeous knitwear in a range of styles, from thin knits that can be layered, or chunky cowl necks that mean you don’t need a scarf to be warm.

My key pieces for this #walkintostyle campaign are classics that you will be wearing for years. The Opulent Borg Double-Breasted Coat looks cosy and proves to be absolutely lovely to wear on the coldest days. It is double breasted and looks great with the collars worn up or down, and with the buttons fastened, or left open for a more casual look. I teamed this with a pair Esme Slim Fit Straight Leg Stretch Jeggings. These are just great, they look like a pair of straight leg jeans, with button detail, but they are actually just pull on. I chose grey for a change from black jeans which I seem to live in, and the leg length (29 inches), was perfect to wear over my ankle boots.

The final Cotton Traders pick in this outfit is the Hygge Cowl Neck Cable Tunic, which is a super stylish, longer length jumper that is the perfect neutral Winter piece. I love this chunky collar, and cable knit detail, and the fact that it is slightly longer, perfect for those who don’t like their bum. This completed the perfect Winter walks outfit, but a splash of colour was needed to balance out the neutral shades, so I teamed with a vibrant purple bag for a touch of coming Spring.

What about a dress?

Winter doesn’t have to mean jeans, a soft cord dress can be super warm, and obviously look great too. It’s just all about how your accessorise it. I absolutely love the Super Soft Jersey Cord Midi Dress in the taupe shade, which sort of looks like a shade of purple. The dress is super cosy, with long sleeves, a midi length and a cowl style neckline. To make it extra wintry perfect I added pull on boots and a blanket scarf in a colour clash blue.
