Autumn/Winter Style With Cotton Traders

Although this is definitely the time of the year when we look at our wardrobe and start to long for sparkle and velvet, that doesn’t mean that our everyday, basic style should be ignored. With the addition of a few, good quality, wearable pieces, our wardrobes should be able to make the transition from Autumn to Winter very easily.

When I look at buying new day wear, clothing that looks great when you’re working from home, heading out shopping and doing the school run, I always turn to Cotton Traders. It’s a brand that really understands that dressing during the day should not be restricted to jogging bottoms and tracksuit tops. Instead, it has stylish, wearable pieces that wash and wear like a dream and blend easily into your wardrobe. In short, these are items that earn their keep.

I have been wearing a few items from the Autumn/Winter range and these are featured below.

Cosy-Up Long Sleeve Roll Neck Top and Stretch Cord Midi Skirt

These are just the most gorgeous separates, that look great together, or worn with jeans, or a chunky knit jumper. The Stretch Cord Midi Skirt is both warm and stylish, in a hard wearing fabric that is both stretchy and comfortable. I chose the classic navy, but it also comes in Hyacinth and bark shades which are both lovely. This is a midi skirt, so would also suit those who are slightly shorter as a maxi style.

It has an elastication to the back of the waist, which makes it great for those bloated days (peri menopause anyone), and also has a front zip/button fastening which makes it so much more stylish than a pull on style.

I teamed the skirt with the Cosy-Up Long Sleeve Roll Neck Top. This is a very retro styled stripy top that is almost a polo neck. and is lovely for wearing on its own, or layered under a jumper or cardigan. Again, it is a stretchy fabric in pure cotton, and this actually comes in both patterned and plain styles, making it a wardrobe essential. My Look

Jersey Knee-Length Swing Dress

If Cotton Traders was said to have a hero product, I would definitely say it was the Jersey Knee-Length Swing Dress that is reintroduced each year in a new print. It is, without doubt, the easiest dress in the world to wear as it has no buttons or fastenings, can simply be pulled over the head. It is stretchy and comfortable, and yet doesn’t cling, it just skims the body with a swing style that is just so flattering.

It is also, praise be, a dress with pockets, which, at the moment, seems to be stuffed with tissues as I battle yet another cold!

I chose the beautiful vintage plum print, but is also comes in navy for those who prefer their prints on the darker side.
