Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day is a bit of a different prospect in 2020. Taking place on Sunday 21st June, you may still be in a situation where you can’t actually see your dad in person if he is of a certain age, or he, or yourself, are still isolating.

So the gift ideas here are things that you can buy online and then have delivered to dad’s door to show you are thinking about him and that you want him to have a nice day, even if you can’t be there personally.

Master of Malt Tasting Set

I featured the glorious Gin tasting set from Master of Malt in my Valentine’s round up earlier in the year, but for Father’s Day I am talking all things WHISKY. The award winning online drinks retailer have produced a special Father’s Day Whisky Tasting Set which  features five different 30ml expressions from Scotland, the US and England, bringing together an array of whisky flavours and styles in one box.

Basically this is perfect for the connoisseur of whisky, the person who loves to try new flavours and blends. The beautiful gift box contains 5 30 ml drams:- Scallywag, Aerolite Lyndsay 10 Year Old – The Character of Islay Whisky Company, The ONE Sherry Expression,  Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch and Loch Lomond 12 Year Old. It is a really good mix and would be perfect for a whisky taste testing session.

The Father’s Day Whisky Tasting Set is currently available from Master of Malt at the special price of £19.95, you can view it here.

Vex Gift Certificate

I always think a gift card is a great idea if you are not sure what to actually buy. It is more personal than just giving cash, but allows the recipient to get something that they really want. The only problem can be giving them the right gift card for the right store or service – if you give it them for somewhere they tend not to use, this can be a bit of a wasted opportunity.

The Vex gift certificate is the answer to this problem. You give a topped up gift card for the amount of their choice which the recipient can then exchange for a gift card of their choice from Voucher Express.  The choice includes a wide range of shops and services including John Lewis, Selfridges, Ticketmaster and B&Q. The vouchers are easy to order and come within a couple of days.

A Gift Experience From Red Letter Days

I think this is a brilliant idea for a lockdown Father’s Day Gift – giving your dad something to look forward to when this all ends.  Red Letter Days have so many experiences for your dad to enjoy that you are bound to find something that would appeal. This years selection includes whisky and beer tasting, paragliding and golf days, trips out to Wembley stadium and the Bear Grylls experience, and many, many more.

All vouchers have around 10 months in which they can be used, and are easy to redeem. This means that dad will have something really special to look forward to once the lockdown ends.

A Chocolate Gift From Cadbury’s Direct

I’m not sure what the question is, but chocolate is always the answer and Cadbury’s Direct have produced the ultimate chocolate gift set for dad to enjoy this June. The Cadbury Father’s Day chocolate gift is the perfect way to say thank you to your dad.

The gift comprises of a gorgeous Cadbury gift box filled with a Cadbury Dairy Milk 200g bar in a special ‘No 1 Dad’ gift sleeve alongside a NEW Heroes Share gift box, Wine Gums and a selection of milk and dark chocolate bars. The box is perfect for chocolate lovers, and is big enough to share with mom too if dad is feeling generous.

Kit’s Chutney Gift Box

If your dad enjoys his food more of the savoury variety, then Kit’s Chutney Gift Box is a brilliant idea that will totally be enjoyed with a good cheese, some crackers and a nice glass of red. Described as a ‘perfect gift for foodies’, the Kit’s Chutney Gift Box is presented in a sustainable straw packed box and is made up of  2x 180g jars of Kit’s Red Chutney and Kit’s Peanut Chutney.

These are chutney’s that show that there is so much more than mango to a good chutney. Kit’s Peanut Chutney is home made with natural ingredients, it’s a little spicy, with hints of mint and a nutty texture, vegangluten free, and contains no artificial preservatives. The Red Chutney is made in a nut free environment and contains a delicious blend of mild red chillies, tasty tomatoes and punchy peppers, also vegan and gluten free.

Magnetic Blue Sunglasses From Layoners

Sunglasses are a great gift idea for dad, even if you don’t get chance to actually wear them on holiday this year. Layoners are a cool, European brand who stock sunglasses and swimwear that are chic in design and affordable in price.

Their Magnetic Blue sunglasses are perfect for a sharp dressed dad. For a start, the combination of black and blue looks so good and the style, which is based on the wayfarer design is super cool. But these glasses are much more than good lookers, they offer 100% UV protection, have polarized lenses and also have glare reduction, which makes them great for driving or watching sports.

The glasses are also very durable, so you should get lots of wear from them, and, if they are a gift for someone special, they come with a pouch for safe storage in a bag or pocket, as well as a stylish box.
