Why Jeans Will Always Be The Fashion Classic
If there is one fashion item that never goes out of style, it is a good pair of jeans. They are a style staple, and every wardrobe seems to host at least one pair, if not more. We all have our favourite styles, and whilst some of us vary our denim in terms of cut, fit and colour, others stay faithful to their style of choice. Jeans can be dressed up, or dressed down, work in both Summer and Winter, and never look less than effortlessly stylish. Think of all the most fabulous style icons, and they will have shown us how to rock a pair of jeans. Jeans are style genius, it is that simple.

Whether you opt to wear a simple t-shirt with boyfriend fit jeans or opt for the ever classic skinny jeans so beloved of Kate Moss, jeans are certainly not just a piece of clothing to be kept for casual wear, they are a real statement. Remember the episode of Sex in the City where Miranda got back into her skinny jeans for the first time since having Brady, and instantly rediscovered her sass – that is the jeans effect. Or how about Marilyn Monroe, one of the first truly iconic stars to wear jeans, both on and off screen, in the 1950’s? She looked incredible amongst the cowboys of The Misfits in the classic outfit of jeans and a simple white shirt – chic, elegant and ever classic.

Whilst it has to be acknowledged that not all denim outfits are stand out hits (who could forget Britney and Justin in double denim for a double disaster), generally jeans are a no brainer, a style choice that ninety nine times out of one hundred will work, looking great and feeling comfortable too. Just look at Kate Middleton, the new Princess of Wales, who teams her jeans with crisp shirts and tailored blazers, even for royal engagements where a slightly more casual look can work. She is following in the footsteps of Princess Diana, who elevated the sporty sweatshirt with jeans outfit for women to make a series of iconic looks that still stand the test of time today.

Jeans are stylish, hard working and hard wearing, and are a must have in any discerning wardrobe. They are the evergreen fashion item that never go out of fashion, they are fashion.
Be honest now, many pairs do you own?
