Launer Bags and Champagne – Selfridges celebrates The Queen at 90
This weekend sees Queen Elizabeth II celebrate her official 90th birthday. Although her actual birthday was in April, June is the official birthday month, with Trooping the Colour the celebration of this ‘birthday’. That means the lady is an honourary Gemini, which can only be a good thing. (Can you guess what my birth sign is…) Ahead of a weekend of celebrations, beacons, parties and all round jolly happenings, Selfridges has shone a spotlight on one of The Queen’s favourite brands. When she see Her Majesty carrying those very neat and highly chic handbags, there is a 99% chance that it will be from Launer London. These leather totes are…

Kids shoe fitting at Brantano
It’s that time of year again. Thoughts are turning towards the end of the current school year, and as the new uniforms are ordered, we also turn our heads towards new school shoes, and seeing how much our kids feet have grown. For a long time, this meant a trip to Clarks, but now Brantano are also offering a great kids fitting service. The beauty of the Brantano service is that the sizes actually correspond to sizes of shoes you purchase from elsewhere! I went along to one of my local Brantano stores last Saturday to get Joe fitted with some new shoes for school. As much as I would…

Dealing with the Summer heat.
When it comes to Summer, I am a total sun worshiper. I love sitting out on beautiful days, dining al fresco and getting the paddling pool ready for Joe whilst eating copious amounts of ice cream. I love Summer dressing, sandals and sun dresses, leaving the coat behind and wearing something cool and floaty. I love the scent of barbecues in the air, wearing Clarins perfume that smells just like suntan lotion and watching the tennis at Wimbledon, or the cricket at the T20 blast. Summer is just perfect isn’t it. Errr, no, not quite. Because along with all the gorgeous things mentioned above, we have Hay Fever, nights when…

A weekend in Birmingham.
Whether you are a native having a staycation, or a tourist coming to the UK for a vacation, it seems that Birmingham has become one hot choice. A recent survey has put Birmingham in the Top Ten of UK cities for tourists, with people flocking to enjoy the range of restaurants, theatres, cool shopping destinations and iconic buildings. I love Birmingham and am fiercely proud of the new developments and changes that make it such a vibrant city. I’ve put together a little list of things to see and do and places to stay in the second city. Where to stay Birmingham has plenty of great hotels to stay that…

Celebrity sandal style with Brantano
The opportunity to wear sandals for every single occasion is definitely one of my favourite things about Summer. There are just so many gorgeous styles out there, and after a Winter, and Spring of being bundled up in thick socks and boots, my feet totally appreciate the feeling of freedom that wearing sandals brings. When it comes to sandals, my feet are firmly planted in the flat camp. I do have a pair of 70s style Clarks wedges which I love with a passion, but, in general, I live in flats – Havaianas, Ipanema and pretty jeweled styles that can be teamed with a dress or jumpsuit for an evening…
