Having the kids home from school over the Easter half term can be so much fun! That is, as long as you have plenty of beautiful places to visit, and fun things to do.
So that you don’t have to stress about keeping yourself – and the whole family! – entertained, we’ve listed various places throughout the South East of England (and beyond!) that you must visit this Easter half term.
Hopefield Animal Sanctuary
There’s no better place to visit than Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in Brentwood this Easter. A great part of Easter is showing love to all creatures, great and small, that make our planet so amazing!
Hopefield Animal Sanctuary takes care of many animals in need, and helps spread vital awareness on the issue of humane love and care for all animals. Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, and the sprawling acres of land it covers in Brentwood, is well worth a visit this half term.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter
If you find yourself outside of Essex, and venturing towards London, why not take a spellbinding tour of the Warner Bros. Studio?
Full of filmmaking magic, you and your family can uncover how the Harry Potter films were brought to life, and explore the astounding nature of their weird and wonderful creature designs.

Treasure Trails
Like an Easter egg hunt, but much much better, Treasure Trails exist across the UK! Springtime is in full swing by the time the Easter half term rolls around, and this means plenty of sunshine and a rare opportunity to explore the beautiful outdoors that characterise England.
Pace through villages and countryside scenes out of a storybook, and forests full of foxes and squirrels! You might just find a treasure chest full of gold, at the end of your adventure; it’s fun for all the family.
Up at the O2
Imagine being able to not only scale the world-famous roof of London’s O2 Arena with your family, some 52 metres above the ground, but also decorate irresistible biscuits at the summit of the roofwalk.
It’s not an opportunity that comes along every day, but it’s one the iconic venue is offering this Easter, with biscuit decorating workshops set to take place from Monday to Friday during the weeks commencing Monday 4th and Monday 11th April. And of course, the surrounding views of the capital’s skyline will be as stunning as you expect.
Alice in Wonderland Easter Experience
You’ll have to head somewhat further north for this one – Cheshire, to be exact – but this one-day event at Capesthorne Hall promises to bring Lewis Carroll’s enchanting tale to life for you and your family, complete with the characters you know and love. Attendees are being encouraged to dress up to join in with the fun, and there will also be a chocolate Easter egg included with every full-paying child ticket; it’s all set to happen on Sunday 17th April.

We all celebrate Easter in our own way – and that’s a beautiful thing. But if you want to enjoy a brilliant, fun-filled day out near you with your loved ones this Easter, one or more of our suggestions above will likely serve you just fine. Let’s make this Easter one you and your family will remember, for all of the finest reasons!
