Emily In Paris Series 3
Yes, I know I’m a bit late to the party, as this series dropped the week before Christmas, but I’ve literally only just got around to binge watching Series 3 of the frothiest, often silliest, but never less than lovable series around. I am talking about Emily in Paris, which, despite often being slammed by those real, highbrow critics, is pretty much loved by everyone else. I definitely put myself in that second category – Emily, Sylvie, Cami, Mindy, Alfie and Gabriel, I’ve sure missed you!

This series starts with one break up,and then ends with another, along with a bombshell. Emily seems to be happy with the rather gorgeous Alfie, and her possible true love Gabriel is loved up with the impossibly chic Camille. But work wise, Emily finds herself without a job as the heavily pregnant American Madeline sets about dismantling Savoir, and Sylvie and the team set up their own new agency. This leads to lots of funny moments, including Madeline on a zoom call in cat face, and Emily trying to work in both camps. Of course, this was never going to end well, and Emily ends up with no job, living the life of an influencer for a while, and even helping Gabriel as a waitress, as his restaurant goes from strength to strength.

The joy of Emily in Paris is that it never takes itself too seriously, and it often has laugh out loud moments that other so-called comedies would just die for (for instance Luc and his ‘Michelin star’ date). The women in this programme are all strong and certainly fight for what they want. They also watch each other’s backs, giving off those Sex and the City vibes in more ways than just the knock out fashion moments. And yes, once again the fashion is to die for, often outrageous, but never less than a knock out, with Lily Collins Emily wearing some truly out there, but totally brilliant outfits.

Ending on the absolute shocker of a cliffhanger, I’m already waiting for Christmas and the drop of series 4, it’s going to be a good one!
