Elizabeth Arden Beauty Event at Debenhams, Bullring
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden products. I am never without a tube of Eight Hour Cream, something I’ve used for everything from sunburnt shoulders, dry skin, cracked lips and even to put on cheekbones to accentuate them. This product from Elizabeth Arden is getting on for a hundred years old and is still just amazing.

Last week I was invited to a beauty event and preview with Elizabeth Arden at the Debenhams situated in Birmingham’s Bullring. It was a lovely event – a chance to catch up with blogging friends and meet some new faces, an opportunity to try some of the latest in beauty technology, and to check out some of Elizabeth Arden’s newest products and colours. Oh, and did I mention there was Bucks Fizz too?
I started off the session with a skin consultation with a difference. This was a skin scan, using the latest beauty technology. The scanner was placed over the skin and measured your problem areas, which you were then told the correct products to address these. My dry skin was again my main issue, but I was very happy to be told the elasticity of my skin was excellent, so good in fact, that the beautician did the scan twice to check the result. Serum and exfoliation were the key to tackling my problems, and has I have just started using serum as part of my daily routine, I hope this will be addressed pretty quickly.

Next was a colour consultation. This was concerned with the perfect foundation shade for your skin, depending on skin tone, and the type of coverage you preferred. I only like a light coverage, hating heavy foundations, and the scanner found a perfect blend for me. This was bisque in the flawless finish mousse foundation.

I was also treated to a neck and shoulder massage using the Ceramide gold ultra restorative capsules. This not only felt amazing, so super relaxing, but I was shocked by the accuracy of the masseuse telling me that:-
1. I was dehydrated that day and she could feel it in the skin on my neck. (True)
2. There was a knot of tension in the middle of my shoulder blades. (Also true, I hadn’t been able to sleep comfortably because of it for a few days.)
The relaxing massage was just what I needed and I totally enjoyed it.

The new colours in the Elizabeth Arden make up range are something very special. In particular, I love the purple shades in the plum eye quad, so pretty!

It was a really fantastic night of beauty, and I was super impressed with both the products on display, and the new technology that was used. If all that wasn’t enough, we also left with a rather lovely goodie bag.
