The perfume diaries – the sweet smell of Harrods
A look back at an amazing exhibition from 2010 – The Perfume Diaries! Fashion-Mommy was lucky enough to get to see ‘The Perfume Diaries’ exhibition that was showing at Harrods recently, and I am pleased to say that it both looked, and smelt amazing. Perfume has been with us for a long time, far longer than I would have believed, and the Harrods exhibition was a celebration of this fact. There was a selection of herbs and flowers that go to make up different perfumes, and a selection of vials that you could smell, although some of these were extremely strong, a bit like smelling salts. Have You Checked Out Chemist4U?
When it comes to treating myself, I don’t seem to move too far away from beauty and cosmetics treats. A new lipstick in yet another shade of red, a new perfume, or a refill of an old favourite, or a sharp and sexy black eye liner, all these are treats that are guaranteed to put a smile on my face and a spring in my step. As a consequence, finding new places to get those treats is always exciting. Chemists have always been a place that I could spend hours in – Boots, Superdrug and Savers are always on my list of must visit places on shopping day.But now I…

Elizabeth Arden All Over Miracle Oil.
Many products make the claim to be ‘miracle products’, particularly when it comes to beauty. There are products that will take years off you, inches off you, add a glow you never had before, and generally turn you from tired mother into supermodel with just a few days of usage. In fact, most miracle products are pedestrian at best, and certainly not worth the cost paid for them. But one product that I have always classed as a miracle product, and one which I am never without, is my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. I use it for everything, from sunburnt shoulders and face, to chapped lips, to adding a…

Christmas comes Early with Unineed
With the last bank holiday of the year well and truly over, and with children returning back to school after the summer break, I think it is safe to say that Autumn is well and truly here. With the start of the new season, I’m afraid to say I start to look ahead to Christmas, to make my lists and do some forward planning, trying to find a few bargains along the way. I have good reasons for getting stuck into the Christmas shopping so early – my little boy also has a Christmas birthday, and I have special family birthdays in October and November, as well as two family…

Elizabeth Arden Beauty Event at Debenhams, Bullring
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden products. I am never without a tube of Eight Hour Cream, something I’ve used for everything from sunburnt shoulders, dry skin, cracked lips and even to put on cheekbones to accentuate them. This product from Elizabeth Arden is getting on for a hundred years old and is still just amazing. Last week I was invited to a beauty event and preview with Elizabeth Arden at the Debenhams situated in Birmingham’s Bullring. It was a lovely event – a chance to catch up with blogging friends and meet some new faces, an opportunity to try some…
