Elizabeth Arden All Over Miracle Oil.

Many products make the claim to be ‘miracle products’, particularly when it comes to beauty. There are products that will take years off you, inches off you, add a glow you never had before, and generally turn you from tired mother into supermodel with just a few days of usage. In fact, most miracle products are pedestrian at best, and certainly not worth the cost paid for them.

But one product that I have always classed as a miracle product, and one which I am never without, is my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. I use it for everything, from sunburnt shoulders and face, to chapped lips, to adding a sheen on my cheekbones. My husband is not adverse to pinching a little for dry skin, and I’ve even used it on my 7 year old to add a little moisture. It is truly a miracle product, so when I heard that Elizabeth Arden was launching an all over miracle oil, that could even be used on hair, using eight hour cream formulations, I knew that this was one product I really wanted to use.

The Oil promises to deliver intensive, all over moisturisation, that would last for up to 12 hours. The idea being you could have your morning shower, towel dry, and then use this to moisturise your body, face and neck, and then even rub it into your hair, from the tips to the roots. The oil contains Tsubaki Oil, Vitamin E and other botanical, natural products that nourish and protect the skin.

I have to say I really like this product, the smell is soft and fresh, not like the scent of Eight Hour Cream which can be very overpowering and medicinal. The oil is not greasy, it is easily absorbed by the skin, but does leave a healthy shine once it is applied, so use sparingly on the face. The fact that this is a pump action spray bottle is a real bonus, it stops you from wasting the oil, and also makes it brilliant for traveling – especially for air journeys where the moisture seems to be totally sucked from your skin – this is instant hyration, a real treat for the skin.

I especially like how this feels on the face and neck. I suffer from dry patches around the edges of my face, and my neck can feel particularly parched and dry at times. I love that this is an instant pick up, your skin feels softer and smoother as soon as it is applied, and, using it daily, I can really see an improvement in my skin condition.

It seems that Elizabeth Arden may indeed have another product that can truly be described as ‘Miracle’.

Elizabeth Arden Beauty Event at Debenhams, Bullring

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden products. I am never without a tube of Eight Hour Cream, something I’ve used for everything from sunburnt shoulders, dry skin, cracked lips and even to put on cheekbones to accentuate them. This product from Elizabeth Arden is getting on for a hundred years old and is still just amazing.

Last week I was invited to a beauty event and preview with Elizabeth Arden at the Debenhams situated in Birmingham’s Bullring. It was a lovely event – a chance to catch up with blogging friends and meet some new faces, an opportunity to try some of the latest in beauty technology, and to check out some of Elizabeth Arden’s newest products and colours. Oh, and did I mention there was Bucks Fizz too?

DSCN8751I started off the session with a skin consultation with a difference. This was a skin scan, using the latest beauty technology. The scanner was placed over the skin and measured your problem areas, which you were then told the correct products to address these. My dry skin was again my main issue, but I was very happy to be told the elasticity of my skin was excellent, so good in fact, that the beautician did the scan twice to check the result. Serum and exfoliation were the key to tackling my problems, and has I have just started using serum as part of my daily routine, I hope this will be addressed pretty quickly.

The Skin Scanner.

Next was a colour consultation. This was concerned with the perfect foundation shade for your skin, depending on skin tone, and the type of coverage you preferred. I only like a light coverage, hating heavy foundations, and the scanner found a perfect blend for me. This was bisque in the flawless finish mousse foundation.

My preferred shade was bisque.

I was also treated to a neck and shoulder massage using the Ceramide gold ultra restorative capsules. This not only felt amazing, so super relaxing, but I was shocked by the accuracy of the masseuse telling me that:-

1. I was dehydrated that day and she could feel it in the skin on my neck. (True)

2. There was a knot of tension in the middle of my shoulder blades. (Also true, I hadn’t been able to sleep comfortably because of it for a few days.)

The relaxing massage was just what I needed and I totally enjoyed it.

This was so good – despite the look on my face!

The new colours in the Elizabeth Arden make up range are something very special. In particular, I love the purple shades in the plum eye quad, so pretty!

DSCN8734DSCN8735It was a really fantastic night of beauty, and I was super impressed with both the products on display, and the new technology that was used. If all that wasn’t enough, we also left with a rather lovely goodie bag.
