Balmonds New Products And Competition

Balmonds is a skincare brand that I like a lot. It is a brand that recognises that all skin is different, and that most skin isn’t perfect and needs a little help. Their research has shown that 16% of the world’s population live with eczema, psoriasis or rosacea and 71% of people describe their skin as sensitive.  These skin issues require help that is gentle and effective, and many, High Street skin products fail to deliver this, and can often cause more harm than good. With this in mind, Balmonds products use lots of natural ingredients like beeswax, calendula, hemp seed and nettle. Their products are still made in small batches in their Bristol studio, and they are an affordable, luxury treat.

Last month Balmonds introduced some new products that are sure to become new favourites, particularly with their stylish rebranded packaging.

Balmonds Super 7 Serum

Serum is a must use for ageing skin and should be part of your daily skincare regime. The Balmonds Super 7 Serum is an extra-gentle serum for sensitive skin. This means you can use it every day, and that it is perfect if your skin is looking tired, feeling dry, and basically in need of some TLC.

This is a product that everyone can use, regardless of skin type, or personal preference or belief.

They say:-

It contains no nuts, no para n, no parfum, no soya, no coconut, no lanolin, no gluten, no dairy, no essential oils, no alcohol, no EU 26 fragrances, or ingredients recognised by experts as likely to be allergenic. This makes Super 7 the perfect choice as a restorative serum for even the most reactive skin, including those prone to breakouts, allergies, eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea.

I find this product really easy to use as it is non oily, so doesn’t feel greasy, and can simply be applied to my skin once I have cleansed, morning or/and night.

Balmonds Tea Tree Face Wash

The second new product that Balmonds introduced was the Tea Tree Face Wash. This is definitely a product for those who suffer with problem skin, whether it be a teenager suffering from acne, or a peri-menopausal women (hands up) suddenly suffering from breakouts.

This is a natural wash for reactive & acne-prone skin that contains tea tree, lemongrass, rosehip  and sea buckthorn.

Balmonds say:-

Balmonds Tea Tree Face Wash has been carefully formulated without perfume, SLS, silicones or dyes to make it suitable for skin of all ages and skin types, including oily, blemish-prone, or combination skin. Its gentle foaming formula e ectively and gently cleanses skin using powerful tea tree oil and natural cleansers instead of sulphates or soap which can irritate sensitive skin, leaving it clean, healthy and naturally balanced.

What I like most about this is that it is gentle. Sometimes the idea of tea tree can make you think of something that will make the skin sting, but this is not the case here. It leaves your skin feeling really soothed and soft, and has a freshness that I really enjoy.
