BHS A/W 13 – Fifty shades of Grey
Continuing with my trawl around the new Autumn/Winter ranges arriving in shops every day, I’m now turning my attention to BHS. Once the domain of little old ladies looking for twinsets and sensible skirts, in recent years BHS has seen Dorothy Perkins and Wallis concessions hit stores, as well as developing its own range in Sophie Grey. It is now most definitely a place to add to your Saturday shopping list, and if you are online, you can make great savings with a BHS promo code.
The striking thing about the current BHS collection is the use of grey as a great base colour for the range. Grey is always a popular choice in Autumn/Winter, from the pale shades that look great with denim, the charcoal shades that make a neat alternative to black, and, of course, the silver shades that look perfectly glamorous at Christmas. The BHS range has teamed grey with black to make a winning combination, and has also made it a focal colour for a fabulous range of Winter coats.

But don’t let the idea that this collection is grey make you think it is boring, this would be totally misguided. There are lace panels that add interest to slinky shift dresses and pencil skirts. There are jumpers emblazoned with pretty birds and cute doggies that make perfect casual winter attire. And there is the most wonderful pea coat that has already taken pride of place on my wish list, for its bold buttons and gorgeous, soft colour.
So, if you’re looking for a snug and cosy Autumn/Winter wardrobe with pieces to take you from work to bar, from week day to the weekend, take a look in BHS.
