Lily Charmed review – Merry Christmas My Deer
Earlier this month I posted about my favourite picks from the lovely Lily Charmed jewellery collection (you can find that post here), and today I am focusing on just one necklace, the gorgeous, sterling silver reindeer charm. This is a gift that would be perfect for just about anyone, from a young girl choosing her first piece of jewellery, to your gran who still loves something that has a touch of quirkiness attached to it. The reindeer is a lovely, much loved symbol of Christmas, and is a great idea if you want to add a festive touch to your look, but are not so keen on wearing a Christmas…

The Irish Fairy Door Company
A perfect Christmas present for those who love fairy stories and the wonderful world of make believe launched in this UK this Autumn. The Irish Fairy Door Company allows little boys and girls to invite a fairy to become part of their family and live in their homes. For those who believe that the internet age means less use of imaginative play – this may actually provide an answer that imagination and the internet can work together to produce fun, imaginative scenarios. The Irish Fairy Door is a little, handmade wooden door that you put in a special place for your child. Outside it you place some stepping stones and…

A Fashion challenge with Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice
Anyone who knows me well knows that I have a great love of charity shops and finding a bargain. As a lover of designer, High Street and vintage clothing, I have been able to find some really great pieces from Charity shops all across the Midlands. So I was really honoured when I was asked to take part in the very first blogger Charity shop challenge at the Bournville branch of the Birmingham St Mary’s hospice shop. The Birmingham St Mary’s hospice is an independent adult hospice providing care to people across Birmingham and Sandwell. It cares for around 1,200 people a year, many who receive care in their own…

Are you ready to get dressed up. Party season is almost upon us and this is a great excuse to add feathers, sequins and sparkle to your wardrobe. The house and Christmas tree is not the only thing that should sparkle at Christmas, you should be able to wear all those glamorous things that you put to one side for the rest of the year, and release your inner sequin idol, whether that be in the form of Downton style 20s glamour, or Kylie Minogue in something that could only be described as ‘skin and beads’. Coast is always a great starting point if you are really looking to push…

Great British Bake Off Inspiration for Christmas
It is officially the biggest programme of 2015, with 12.29 million viewers tuning into the final to see Nadiya Hussein crowned the well deserved winner. I can only be talking about the Great British Bake Off, the programme that makes stars out of star bakers, has made Mary Berry a fashion inspiration, and has made Paul Hollywood into a sex symbol (something I totally don’t get…but he does have Paul Newman eyes….if you squint!). A fabulous infographic by Bingo Find gives some of the facts and figures about the series that should be loved by aged grannies and spinster aunts, but is, in fact, loved by everyone, not least my…
