Kimono Style Jackets from Gudrun Sjoden
In the way that the maxi skirt made a comeback and then never disappeared, the Kimono has had a real moment over the last few years. A traditional Japanese style jacket, the kimono was something that at one time you could only find on a trip overseas, or in a vintage shop. These days it is a key part of the wardrobe, giving an alternative to a jacket or cardigan, and proving to be a versatile piece of clothing that can be worn with jeans, over a little black dress, or even as a beach cover-up. Vive le Kimono! Gudrun Sjoden added kimono jackets to their Spring collection this year,…

This Christmas – check out a Charity Shop
As regular readers of this blog know, I am a huge fan of Charity Shops. I love the fact that you can find a bargain, sometimes brand new with tags, sometimes a vintage treasure, and that you can pick it up for very little money. I also love the fact that buying your item means that you are contributing to one of the many goodwill causes that need a little extra help at this time of year. The Salamander Eco Cotton dress from Gudrun Sjoden is one of those perfect summer pieces in eco cotton. It is no secret to readers of Fashion-Mommy that I am a huge fan of Gudrun Sjoden, the vibrant prints, unique designs…

Dress Review – The Tove cotton dress from Gudrun Sjoden
Continuing with today’s rather dressy theme, this blog post is dedicated to reviewing a rather beautiful dress from one of my favourite brands, Gudrun Sjoden. It is just a shame that as I write this, the weather has turned decidedly cold and wet, but the Tove dress is one that brings a lovely touch of Summer to your wardrobe, but can luckily look just as good worn with opaque tights and a chunky cardigan. The Tove dress is one of my favourites from the current ‘Women in Art’ collection. In the publicity campaign, this was styled as a mismatch of colours and patterns, a style which was typically Gudrun. But…
